Nvidia announced a $3 billion investment in Meta, as part of expanding collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence. Meta is raising $97.5 billion to fund AI infrastructure. The collaboration will focus on improving Muse models and developing personal AI agents.

Chip giant Nvidia announced a $3 billion investment in Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, as part of expanding the collaboration between the two companies in the field of artificial intelligence. The investment comes against the backdrop of a $97.5 billion capital raising plan by Meta to fund computing infrastructure and AI investments. Of the raised amount, $37.5 billion will be raised through the issuance of common and convertible preferred shares, and an additional $60 billion through a market stock sale program. AMD and Broadcom have also expressed interest in purchasing Meta shares, with the potential total purchases by the three companies reaching up to $5 billion. The collaboration will focus on improving the performance of Muse models, the AI agent Meta launched last month, on Nvidia's infrastructure, and on developing personal AI agents for billions of users. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said that AI agents represent a new era of computing. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that the company is excited to continue working with Nvidia. Nvidia has previously invested in OpenAI, Anthropic, Intel, and xAI, and according to Dealroom, has participated in 121 investment rounds since the beginning of the year.
