Data from Count'it reveals a surprising picture from the current election day: by 12:00 PM, there was a roughly 20% drop in mall foot traffic compared to the previous election day on November 1, 2022. However, compared to a regular Tuesday last week, there was a sharp increase of about 38% in the number of visitors. Similar data was recorded in malls in the central region, with a 20% drop compared to the previous elections and a 40% increase relative to last week. Eyal Glazer, CEO of Count'it, explained that the comparison to previous elections allows for examining how foot traffic has changed, and that for malls and chains, election day is a commercial opportunity. Count'it provides traffic measurement and analysis services to the major mall groups in Israel, including Ofer Malls, Big Group, and Azrieli Malls.
