National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir announced that the Otzma Yehudit party will not sign a surplus agreement with the Amcha Yisrael party led by Ofer Vinter. In a post on X, Ben Gvir wrote: 'Vinter is Bennett 2, so Otzma Yehudit will not sign a surplus agreement with him.' The decision was made against the backdrop of polls in which Vinter hovers around the electoral threshold and may not enter the Knesset. In a Channel 12 poll, Likud receives 20 seats, Otzma Yehudit strengthens to 8, and Vinter remains out. A week ago, Likud and Religious Zionism-Identity signed a surplus agreement, leaving Otzma Yehudit without an agreement. Otzma Yehudit reacted with anger, and party sources said Likud decided 'to diminish us'. Likud is formulating a campaign to reduce Otzma Yehudit's power, against the backdrop of internal polls showing its support potential could reach 12 to 15 seats.
