An Indian man murdered his close friend during a violent argument that erupted after a drinking session, and turned himself in to the police twenty days later, claiming that the victim's image haunts his dreams. The incident occurred last month in the city of Dombivli, India. Prabhu Karkada and Parv Vihal Kadam met for drinks at the home of a mutual acquaintance, Sandesh Mahatre, who was not present. The argument ended with Kadam's death. Karkada hid the body in the bathroom, and the next day Mahatre helped him dispose of it near a stream instead of calling the police. Karkada claimed that for about twenty days he suffered from nightmares in which the victim appeared, until he decided to turn himself in. Both were arrested.
