The luxury vehicles of Kfar Saba's mayor - and the suspicion: "Benefits from businessmen"

Investigators are examining whether Sa'ar was aware of the funds and their connection to his decisions in the municipality.

Police are preparing to request an extension of some of the restrictive conditions imposed on Rafi Sa'ar, the mayor of Kfar Saba, and his wife Meital Sa'ar, ahead of a hearing expected on Sunday. The conditions, set on October 22, include a ban on contact between the couple until November 1 and Sa'ar's removal from municipal facilities until November 15. At the center of the investigation, conducted by the National Fraud Investigation Unit (YAHBAL) in Lahav 433, is the suspicion that Sa'ar received benefits from businessmen, including luxury vehicles of the Audi and Tesla brands, in exchange for promoting interests in the municipality. Investigators are examining additional evidence of Sa'ar's awareness of the source of the funds, despite his claim of financial separation from his wife. Also involved in the investigation are Efrayim (Efi) Kahlon and Eitan Sapir. A source in the investigation claims that investigators have a solid evidentiary foundation, and the investigation is not at a dead end.
