The Defense Ministry is examining the purchase of low-cost cruise missiles from the American company Covenant, according to Defense Blog. CEO Amir Baram visited the company last week, whose flagship product is the Anthem cruise missile, intended for mass production at a significantly lower price than Tomahawk missiles. The company has conducted over 200 tests, but no operational use has been made so far. Meanwhile, Peru is interested in purchasing the Barak MX air defense system from Israel Aerospace Industries in its naval version, for new frigates being built at the SIMA shipyards. In Canada, the Coast Guard is preparing to operate Elbit's Hermes 900 StarLiner drones in the Arctic Circle, following tests in Greenwood, Nova Scotia, and their transfer to Iqaluit on October 1.
