"The heart is a black hole": The cry of the parents of the horrors daycare in Ra'anana against the release of the suspects - and the testimonies

Parents of toddlers from the 'Zman Eikhut' daycare in Ra'anana protested this evening against the release of four suspects accused of abusing their children. The protesters, including the mayor, called for stricter treatment and the filing of a severe indictment against the daycare teacher and assistants.

Parents of toddlers from the 'Zman Eikhut' daycare in Ra'anana, together with dozens of residents and Mayor Haim Broida, protested this evening in front of the Yad LeBanim building in the city against the release under restrictive conditions of four suspects accused of abusing their children: Yael Grady, Silvina Eshel, Yehudit Roze, and Tamar Roze. The suspects, a daycare teacher and three assistants, were arrested in early October on suspicion of severe violence against toddlers, including forceful lifting, throwing to the floor, and pulling ears. They were released last week under restrictive conditions including a ban on working with vulnerable individuals and removal from the daycare. During the protest, the parents spoke harshly: Dana Ohayon Segev described how her daughter said 'it hurts here' and called the experience 'a eulogy for trust in human beings.' Guy, a father of a child in the daycare, called the suspects 'monsters' and demanded that the police file a severe indictment. Mayor Broida said that 'how cynical that the smiling daycare teachers in the morning acted as they did' and expressed hope that the struggle would lead to change.
