Natalie and Didi, the parents of Nadav Bartal who was murdered in the October 7, 2023 massacre, were interviewed on the 15th edition of i24NEWS on the anniversary of the massacre. In the interview held at the Nova complex in the Gaza envelope, the parents shared their painful feelings. "Going back, it's a very hard day. We don't need this day to feel the immense and great void, but we came to be here," they said. Nadav, 23, came with two childhood friends to the Nova party. When the rocket fire began, he told his parents he was on his way back to their home in Beit Aryeh, but was killed at the 'Death Curve' near Mefalsim on Route 232. His father Didi went down to the Gaza envelope to locate his son and help him, but found him lifeless. "We saw all the bodies and horrors here, I arrived at 4:45 PM and found him broken on the floor and shot. That's life, unfortunately," he recounted. Nadav is survived by three younger sisters and two parents, and was buried in the Beit Aryeh cemetery alongside the two childhood friends who were murdered beside him.
