About 20,000 people participated today (Saturday) in Madrid in the "Second March for the Honor of Spain," protesting the Spanish government's handling of the immigration crisis in Ceuta, a Spanish enclave bordering Morocco. Organizers claimed the number of participants stood at 180,000. The protest, organized by Sociedad Civil Española and other groups, was held under the slogan "For the honor of Spain." Protesters demanded early general elections, protested against the government of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, and called for the protection of Ceuta and Melilla. Among the chants heard: "Ceuta is not for sale, Ceuta is protected," "Pedro Sánchez to prison," and "Marlaska, traitor, defend the nation." Protesters raised allegations regarding corruption cases linked to the Sánchez government, relations with Morocco and King Mohammed VI, and a case related to the Prime Minister's wife, Begoña Gómez. During the protest, Santiago Abascal, leader of the Vox party, appeared, and protesters asked to take photos with him. Miguel Tellado from the People's Party also participated. Over a month and a half ago, more than 70,000 migrants infiltrated Ceuta; most were expelled but many remained there.
