The international presidents conference of KKL-JNF concluded this week in the Galilee with the laying of the cornerstone for the KKL-JNF House of Excellence in Kiryat Shmona. The new house is intended to provide youth in the city and its surroundings with an advanced educational framework in science, technology, sports, and arts. Its uniqueness lies in its location in the heart of Galilean nature, alongside a flowing stream. The establishment of the house is part of a broad investment by KKL-JNF in the north, amounting to over one billion shekels in the past year, and within a strategic plan of approximately 859 million shekels for 2026. The conference was attended by about 100 representatives from 33 countries and dealt with the rehabilitation and growth of the north. KKL-JNF chairman Eyal Ostrinsky said that the commitment is not limited to restoring the situation to its former state, but to creating infrastructure for long-term growth. Kiryat Shmona mayor Avichai Stern emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities for the city's youth. KKL-JNF plans to establish 13 additional excellence centers in the periphery.
