A Canadian tourist visiting Las Vegas found himself at the center of an unusual incident after getting drunk and removing a flamingo from its hotel enclosure to the 14th floor. In court, videos and testimonies from that night were revealed. In one video, another hotel guest calls the tourist 'The Flamingo Hunter'. A security guard reported hearing a message on the radio: 'Someone took a flamingo'. The tourist, Fairburn, is charged with animal cruelty and pleaded not guilty. He testified that he drank between 30 and 40 beers before the incident, noticed the bird seemed injured and wanted to check on it, but later decided to take a photo with it as a 'stupid joke'. The veterinarian who treated the flamingo testified that it suffered a wing injury and feather loss. The flamingo has recovered and is in good condition. The trial is expected to continue next Monday.
