"The cocaine of the poor": Smuggling attempt of painkiller to Gaza foiled

The Customs Crossings Unit foiled an attempt to smuggle the painkiller Tramal (Tramadol) into the Gaza Strip using a drone. The packages, known as "the cocaine of the poor," were seized several days ago. The report notes that in the past, Captagon was also smuggled into Gaza, and that alongside weapons, there is demand for smuggling addictive substances into the Strip. Tramal is an opioid prescription medication used for pain relief and can cause addiction.
