Tensions in London: Threat of arrests at the massive protest outside the US Embassy

London police have warned that protesters who express support for the Palestine Action organization at a demonstration outside the US Embassy risk arrest on terrorism charges. Organizers say hundreds are expected to attend and claim the ban stems from American pressure and appeasement of Israeli companies.

London police have warned that protesters who express support for the Palestine Action organization at a planned demonstration outside the US Embassy could be arrested on terrorism charges. The group Defend Our Juries, which is organizing the protest, announced that hundreds are expected to participate tomorrow at noon at the embassy in Battersea, with a parallel protest planned outside the US consulate in Edinburgh. The police operation commander, Adam Slonetsky, clarified that even those who assist in organizing the protest or giving instructions could be arrested. Organizers called on participants to carry signs supporting the organization and claimed that since July 2025, over 3,850 people have been arrested in the UK in protests against the proscription of the organization. According to them, the protest aims to expose the "authoritarian overreach" and its consequences, and they attribute the ban to American pressure and appeasement of Israeli arms companies. The protest is expected days before a hearing at the British Supreme Court on November 4 and 5 regarding the ban.
