Turkish drone company Skydagger released a 27-second promotional video on social media, showing a drone dropping munitions on a tank with a blue flag on its turret. The tank is identified by Turkish media as an Israeli Merkava tank. The video labels the tank with the word "problem," and after the strike, the word "solution" appears. The Turkish news site Istanbul Post noted this is the first time a Turkish defense company has openly displayed an IDF tank as a target in a promotional video. It also noted that the Merkava tank is equipped with the "Wind Coat" active protection system, but the war in Ukraine has proven that cheap FPV drones can hit heavy tanks. Skydagger, founded in 2024, signed a memorandum of understanding in June with American defense giant L3Harris for joint development and production of FPV interceptor drones in the United States, for integration into L3Harris's VAMPIRE system.
