Director Quentin Tarantino has completed the script for his tenth feature film but will not begin practical work on the project until after the run of his new play in London's West End. He stated this in an interview with Graham Norton's talk show, broadcast over the weekend (Friday) on the BBC. Tarantino, who has previously stated he will retire from directing films after his tenth, said he prefers to focus at this stage on staging the play "The Popinjay Cavalier," originally created as a script and adapted for the stage. The play, starring Sacha Baron Cohen, will open at the Phoenix Theatre in London in March and run until June 13, following previews beginning in late February. Tarantino's last film, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" (2019), was nominated for several Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won Brad Pitt the Best Supporting Actor award. In December, Netflix will release the sequel "The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth," directed by David Fincher, with Tarantino serving as producer alongside Pitt.
