Sources in the Yashar party are holding talks with Haredi factions as part of the plan to enable a government with the Haredim, as reported this evening on the Kan News broadcast. Among the initiatives promoted by Gadi Eisenkot and his party, considerations include easing the draft law in exchange for a future government program to enlist Haredim. The party is also holding talks with Haredi entrepreneurs and businesspeople in order to formulate a plan that would strengthen Haredi tracks in the IDF, expand Haredi hesder yeshivas, and appoint a government project manager to promote enlistment. The party hopes that through these moves they will politically enable the partnership with the Haredim, presenting them with a softened draft law and cancellation of sanctions on one hand, and on the other hand presenting the move as a significant plan to increase enlistment. Earlier today, Eisenkot officially received the mandate from President Isaac Herzog, and in his speech reiterated his call for the establishment of a "national emergency government" and explained that "compromises, creative and unusual political moves" will be required.
