Shufersal Group won a tender from the Israel Land Authority to establish a commercial, employment, and tourism center in the Ramat Negev Regional Council, adjacent to the IDF City of Bases. The total investment in the project is estimated at approximately 100 million shekels. The project will span about 20 dunams, on land with an approved urban building plan for a commercial and employment center covering a total area of approximately 16,000 square meters. As part of the win, Shufersal Group will plan and build a commercial center that will include a supermarket from the Shufersal Group as an anchor, alongside a variety of businesses that will serve the council's residents and passersby on Route 40. The project is planned to be built with an emphasis on a variety of services, entertainment, and dining, and is expected to attract the council's residents, those serving at the IDF City of Bases and nearby bases, and travelers on their way to Mitzpe Ramon and Eilat. The Ramat Negev Regional Council, the largest regional council in Israel by area, is undergoing a development boom. From Shufersal Group, it was stated that they see the win as a strategic milestone. The council head, Eran Doron, welcomed the win. The win joins two additional projects totaling 154 million shekels reported last month in Netanya and Kiryat Motzkin.
