Shlomo Filber, a media figure close to Likud, warns Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben Gvir that his frontal confrontation with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could cost him dearly at the ballot box. In an interview with Tal Meir on Channel 14, Filber argues that past lessons show that at the moment of truth, right-wing voters who are undecided between Likud and another party tend to return to Netanyahu. He uses a metaphor: 'If they have to choose who is better, father or mother - right-wing voters went with Likud.' The remarks come amid growing tensions between the two parties, which have escalated around the possibility of the next government's composition. Otzma Yehudit officials claim that Netanyahu may prefer a broader government that includes Gadi Eisenkot, while Netanyahu has clarified that he intends to form the next government 'first and foremost' based on the current coalition parties. Filber emphasizes that he is mainly referring to undecided Likud voters, not the core of Otzma Yehudit's regular voters.
