She killed and fled home: Inbar Kahlon accused of running over neighbor from moshav - while intoxicated
Inbar Kahlon is charged with manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, drunk driving, and deviating from her lane, after running over and killing her neighbor, Amos Gueta, in Moshav Porat. According to the indictment, Kahlon drove under the influence of alcohol at a concentration more than three times the legal limit, veered onto the shoulder, struck Gueta, continued home, and did not call for help. She has seven prior traffic convictions.
Inbar Kahlon, a resident of Moshav Porat, is charged with manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, drunk driving, and deviating from her lane, after running over and killing her neighbor, Amos Gueta. According to the indictment, on September 5, 2026, at around 6:44 PM, Kahlon was driving a BMW on Route 5535 toward her home. A blood test found an alcohol concentration of 177 mg per 100 ml of blood, more than three times the legal limit. At the time, it was daylight with good visibility and fair weather. Gueta was walking on the right shoulder near the entrance to the moshav. Kahlon veered right onto the shoulder and struck him with the front right of the vehicle. The impact threw Gueta onto the gravel road, causing severe head trauma, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite the collision, Kahlon did not stop to call for help and continued home. On the way, she stopped several times and got out of the car but did not return to the scene. She was located and arrested at her home at 8:00 PM. In her initial interrogation, she confirmed drinking beer before driving. Minutes after the accident, she called criminal law firms. In a later interrogation, she changed her story, claiming she drank vodka after arriving home. Her father reported that she told him she hit someone and left because she was under pressure. She has seven prior traffic convictions, including two for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol from 2013 and 2019. The prosecution requested pretrial detention, citing high risk.
