She filed a rape complaint in a kibbutz - and strangers took over her medical file at 'Clalit'

Opal Malol, who filed a rape complaint at Kibbutz Gvat, discovered that strangers took over her 'Clalit' account and gained access to her medical records, despite her prior warnings. Clalit suspects an internal party. The rape case was transferred to the prosecution with a recommendation to close.

Opal Malol, 37, from Kibbutz Gvat, who about three months ago told Walla in an interview that she was drugged and raped by several men in a jacuzzi at her home, discovered two days ago that strangers took over her Clalit health fund account and gained access to all her medical records. Her phone number on the account was replaced with a foreign number, despite her claim that she warned Clalit in advance not to allow changes without her physical identification. A similar attempt was thwarted about two months ago at a clinic in Kibbutz Nir David. Clalit suspects the change was carried out through the cooperation of an internal human factor in the organization, not a cyber breach. Malol filed an additional complaint with the police. Meanwhile, the rape case was transferred to the Northern District Attorney's Office with a police recommendation to close it, but due to a prosecutor's proximity to the involved party, the case was moved to the Haifa District. Malol stated: 'This is no longer just a rape. All that's left for them is to eliminate me.'
