Alongside the unusual confession, he issued an uncompromising ultimatum ahead of the formation of the next coalition: "No government will be formed without guaranteeing the status of yeshiva students." In his speech, Rabbi Yosef attacked internal criticism within the Haredi public, rejected calls to boycott the party, and warned against the rise of the left. He detailed the failures: "We all admit that mistakes were made in the past. From now on, we want the yeshiva students to have power. We will not think about interests." He also responded to criticism from his sister Adina Bar Shalom and quipped: "What is Maran's legacy - to shake Eisenkot's hand?" His firm stance comes after the exposure of recordings on i24NEWS about a rift between him and Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, who threatened to split the movement.
