Second-grade student whipped vice principal with an electrical cable - school will open tomorrow at 10:00

A second-grade student at the 'Amita' school in Petah Tikva violently attacked the vice principal, including whipping her with an electrical cable. The Teachers' Union reports additional violent incidents at the school. The school will open tomorrow at 10:00.

A severe violent incident occurred today (Wednesday) at the 'Amita' school in Petah Tikva, when a second-grade student violently attacked the vice principal. According to the Teachers' Union, the student threw a keyboard and a megaphone at her, kicked her, threw a metal stapler, pinched, scratched, and finally took an electrical cable and whipped the vice principal while cursing. The incident occurred after the student entered the office and climbed on a shelf unit, and the vice principal tried to calm him down. The organization claims this is not an isolated incident, and that there were additional violent incidents toward students and staff members beforehand. Deputy Secretary-General of the Teachers' Union, Michael Pinto, said that 'the sequence of violent incidents requires stopping and setting a clear boundary,' and the chair of the Petah Tikva branch, Ravid Giladi-Gatnio, called for a systemic solution. The school will open tomorrow at 10:00.
