The National, a publication based in Abu Dhabi known for its ties to the government, clarified that UAE officials denied claims of a direct signal from President Mohammed bin Zayed, indicating that security issues are not discussed by leaders bypassing intelligence agencies. Earlier, information emerged that Netanyahu ignored the warning ten days before the tragedy. Meanwhile, Palestinian politician and Fatah representative Sufyan Abu Zaida publicly stated that he was the secret informant. According to him, he tried to convey data about the preparation of the attack, obtained from Yahya Sinwar, to the Israeli leadership using Emirati channels. Abu Zaida, who spent 12 years in Israeli prisons and speaks Hebrew, promised to reveal new details. Official Jerusalem has so far refrained from commenting.
