Samsung is launching the Galaxy Buds On, open-design headphones that allow users to listen to music while maintaining awareness of their surroundings. The headphones attach to the ear using an open clip, unlike regular headphones that create a seal in the ear canal. To address sound leakage, Samsung has implemented technology using anti-phase sound waves to minimize escaping sound. Specifications include up to 9.5 hours of battery life on a single charge, a wireless charging case, new drivers for improved bass, and IP54 dust and water resistance. However, the headphones lack active noise cancellation and do not support multipoint Bluetooth connection. The headphones will launch in the US on November 6 at a price of $229, in black and in a single size. The launch date in Israel has not yet been announced.
