Former hostage Rom Breslavsky harshly attacked "The Democrats" party chairman Yair Golan after Golan posted a video on his X account. In the video, Golan compared the film "Nezha" to the October 7 massacre and used the comparison to attack Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Breslavsky responded sharply: "You are not normal. Condemn what those two directors did, what's the problem?" Members of Golan's party who were asked about the film refrained from condemning it. Gaby Lasky even argued that the discourse surrounding the film provides a glimpse of what must not happen, and called for an end to the violent discourse against the creators. This is not the first time Breslavsky has criticized Golan; about a month ago he came out against the music accompanying an election video targeting the Arab public, claiming that the exact same melody was heard by the terrorists who held him in Gaza.
