Rockets, mortars and Kalashnikovs: The weapons our forces located in Syria

After three months of operations in the forward security zone in Syria, IDF forces from Brigade 228 under Division 210 completed a mission during which they interrogated dozens of suspects, arrested operatives, and located numerous weapons, including RPG rockets, mortar shells, and Kalashnikov rifles. The forces destroyed terrorist infrastructure near the Israeli border. They will be replaced by forces from Brigade 2.

After three months of operations in the forward security zone in Syria, IDF forces from Brigade 228 under Division 210 completed an operational mission in the sector. During this period, the forces carried out a series of targeted operations, interrogated dozens of suspects, and arrested several operatives. The forces located and destroyed terrorist infrastructure and numerous weapons, including RPG rockets, mortar shells, and Kalashnikov rifles. The activity was aimed at reducing threats to Israel from Syrian territory, preventing the entrenchment of hostile elements, and maintaining the security of Golan Heights communities. The forces also completed their fifth reserve rotation. Upon completion of the mission, forces from Brigade 2 will take their place in the sector. The IDF stated that Division 210 forces will continue to operate in Syria according to the situation assessment.
