The court rejected the police appeal against the release of attorney Sagi Chen, CEO of the Kfar Saba economic company, to house arrest. Chen was arrested on October 12 in the "The Way to the Village" affair. The judge ruled that the investigation has not yet been exhausted and there is still a concern for obstruction, but found no justification to change the release decision. The police admitted that the checks seized from Chen no longer establish suspicion, but claimed additional evidence. A dispute also arose over Chen's refusal to hand over passwords to devices, citing attorney-client privilege. His defense attorneys argued that Chen was offered to provide information about the mayor's wife in exchange for his release.
