Putin prepares new weapons and wants to test NATO's Article 5 – media

European leaders are concerned about the Kremlin's plans: Vladimir Putin is considering using the latest high-speed strike drones "Geran-5" for potential attacks on NATO countries. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stated the likelihood of massive strikes on states supporting Ukraine, with the aim of testing Article 5 of the Washington Treaty. Meanwhile, occupation forces are testing jet drones on the Ukrainian front, targeting radar stations.

European leaders are seriously concerned about the Kremlin's plans. According to a Daily Express publication, dictator Vladimir Putin is seriously considering the possibility of using the latest high-speed strike drones "Geran-5" for potential attacks on NATO countries. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has openly stated a high probability that Moscow could launch massive missile and drone strikes on states actively supporting Ukraine. In his opinion, Putin may take this step to practically test the reliability of Article 5 of the Washington Treaty on collective defense. Particularly dangerous are the modernized "Geran-5" drones, capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 90 kilograms, reaching speeds three times higher than previous generations, with a range of over 960 kilometers. French President Emmanuel Macron has characterized these warnings as fully justified. Meanwhile, occupation forces are actively testing jet drones on the Ukrainian front, taking advantage of a temporary shortage of air defense systems. According to analytical reports from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), there has been a sharp increase in attacks by jet-powered "Geran-4" and "Geran-5" drones on Ukrainian radar stations in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions. Experts note that Ukrainian forces can effectively counter jet targets primarily with air-to-air missiles, which are in limited supply.
