PM's speech banned from broadcast, and this is the decision regarding the 'October Council' rally

Judge Noam Solberg rejected the Likud petition to ban the broadcast of the 'October Council' rally on Saturday night, ruling that there was no proven intent to broadcast live. This follows the PM's speech at Bahad 1 being banned from broadcast due to concerns of election propaganda.

The Chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Solberg, dismissed on Friday a petition by Likud that sought to ban television channels from broadcasting live a rally organized by the 'October Council' on Saturday night. Likud argued that the broadcast should be banned or delayed by several minutes, citing Section 5 of the Elections Law (Propaganda Methods), which prohibits broadcasting election propaganda on television within 60 days before the elections. However, Judge Solberg ruled that Likud did not prove there was an intent to broadcast the rally live and that insufficient evidence was presented to grant the petition. The decision came after Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech at Bahad 1 was banned from live broadcast this week due to concerns of election propaganda.
