Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian leveled sharp accusations against Israel following a strike on a Saudi Arabian oil pipeline, which was reportedly carried out by Yemeni Houthis. Pezeshkian stated that neither Iran nor Yemen was involved in the attack and suggested that Israel could have conducted the operation to escalate tensions and fuel conflicts. In an interview, he also commented on the ongoing conflict with Israel and the US, calling Iran a victim of terrorism and accusing the US of violating international law. Pezeshkian claimed that American attacks had killed Iranian commanders, scientists, and children, portraying Tehran's actions as self-defense. He also stated that Iran had never initiated wars and had supported negotiations, but the current confrontation was imposed from outside. The president accused Israel of waging military actions amid sanctions pressure on Iran, calling it a manifestation of double standards. Additionally, Pezeshkian reported that communication between Tehran and Washington continues through mediators from Qatar and Pakistan, but Iran's level of trust in the US has significantly decreased.
