Palo Alto Networks is in talks to acquire the Israeli startup Clutch Security for about $500 million, as reported by The Information. Clutch, founded about three years ago, develops software that helps companies track passwords and authentication codes used by artificial intelligence agents. The acquisition could expand Palo Alto's activities in identity and access management, against the backdrop of risks associated with the growing use of autonomous agents. According to the report, if it materializes, this would be the fifth acquisition announced by Palo Alto this year. It was also reported that Clutch raised more than $20 million, among others from the funds Lightspeed and Signal Fire.
