President Trump previously conditioned the nuclear deal on Saudi accession to the Abraham Accords, despite the absence of this condition in the official text. Although Saudi Arabia continues to condition normalization on the establishment of a Palestinian state, the security reality in the Red Sea may be decisive. While Israel's relations with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco continue to advance, Riyadh now understands that there is no real substitute for a regional alliance led by the United States with Israeli participation to repel the Iranian threat.
