Israel Aerospace Industries unveiled a light tactical air-transportable vehicle selected for Germany's special forces, outpacing competitors like Mercedes and BMW. The vehicle, based on Elta's ZD platform, is manufactured in Germany and adapted to the unique operational requirements of the German special forces. It is offered in two configurations: a light tactical air-transportable vehicle for combat troops and a compatible air-transportable operational support vehicle. Both configurations are based on a platform with high mobility and cross-country capability proven in combat conditions. The vehicle features an open architecture and high integrativity, allowing the integration of various weapon systems and a wide field of view. Thanks to its flexible design, two vehicles can be transported simultaneously inside a CH-47 Chinook helicopter and brought to operational readiness shortly after landing. The presentation follows an October 2025 framework agreement signed by FTS for the supply of up to 200 vehicles with the Federal Procurement Office of the German Army. The vehicle was presented at the 10th annual conference of the German Special Forces Command in Altensteig-Wart.
