Ohana complained about Ben Gvir's demand and added: "There is a challenge to prevent a dangerous government"

Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana criticized Itamar Ben Gvir's demand in an interview with 103fm. Ohana addressed the upcoming elections, the struggle over portfolios, the security situation, polls, and legislation for the LGBTQ community. He stated that Hamas will not control the Strip and that Israel is not a "banana republic."

Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana was interviewed on 103fm and addressed several burning political issues. Ohana criticized the demand of Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, without detailing the content of the demand, and defined the main challenge as preventing the establishment of a "dangerous government." He referred to polls predicting a loss for the current coalition and opposition threats to replace him, saying he does not believe in polls, while mentioning past incorrect predictions like Hillary Clinton's victory and the rotation of Boogie and Tzipi. Ohana emphasized that he will act according to the law even if 61 MKs ask to replace him. Additionally, he addressed criticism about the lack of legislation for the LGBTQ community, admitted he is not comfortable with the compromises in the coalition, but noted that they passed one law on the issue. He compared the situation to the previous government that included members of the Islamic Movement, who he said opposed such legislation. Ohana stated that Hamas will not control the Gaza Strip.
