Occupation seizes 741 square meters of al-Jabriyat lands in Jenin

Israeli occupation forces seized 741 square meters of land in the al-Jabriyat neighborhood of Jenin, within Area (A), under a new military order claiming urgent military purposes. Order No. 33/26 was issued on October 5, 2026, and is valid for 60 days, with a 24-hour objection period.

Israeli occupation forces seized 741 square meters of land in the al-Jabriyat neighborhood of Jenin, located within Area (A) under the Oslo Accords, on Tuesday. The new military order No. 33/26, dated October 5, 2026, is classified as "immediate and urgent," under the pretext of using the land for military purposes. The order targets an area of 0.741 dunams within parcels 41, 42, and 50 of block 20071, with an attached map showing a narrow strip extending along a road inside the neighborhood. This new order extends a previous order No. 70/26 issued in May 2026, which targeted 7.247 dunams of the same block. A comparison of maps shows limited partial overlap between the new strip and the winding corridor of the previous order, before the new strip extends eastward beyond its boundaries. The order is valid for 60 days from its signing date, with a 24-hour objection period from the implementation of the survey with landowners, compared to seven days in the previous order, which was valid until the end of 2031. The order raises concerns about the expansion of military control over land and movement routes in the neighborhood, despite the area being within classification (A).
