Occupation demolishes two homes and date warehouses in Jericho, closes entrances to Madama village
Israeli occupation authorities on Wednesday demolished two homes and four date warehouses in Marj Ghazal village north of Jericho, and closed all entrances to Madama village south of Nablus, while bulldozing olive groves. Affected residents said the demolitions were carried out in Area B despite having prior building approvals.
Israeli occupation authorities on Wednesday demolished two homes and four date warehouses in Marj Ghazal village north of Jericho. Fahd Fayez Akhmes, one of the affected residents, told the Palestinian news agency Wafa that two heavy occupation vehicles demolished his home and that of his uncle Youssef Abdel Fattah Akhmes, along with four date warehouses—three belonging to his father and uncles, and the fourth to a resident of the Abu Jarar family. He explained that the warehouses had concrete floors and tin roofs. Akhmes noted that the demolitions occurred in Area B, despite prior approvals from occupation authorities for construction. In Madama village south of Nablus, occupation forces re-closed the northern entrance with earth mounds after opening it on Tuesday, effectively sealing all village entrances. Palestinian security sources reported that an occupation bulldozer also began leveling areas planted with olive trees north of the village.
