Occupation demolishes a home in Bethlehem and storms homes in Masafer Yatta

Israeli occupation forces demolished an inhabited home in the village of Umm Salamuna south of Bethlehem without prior warning, and stormed homes in Masafer Yatta and east of Ramallah, smashing surveillance cameras. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported 2,051 attacks in the West Bank and Jerusalem during September.

On Monday, Israeli occupation forces demolished an inhabited home in the village of Umm Salamuna south of Bethlehem, belonging to the family of Nader Abu Shaqra, with an area of about 150 square meters and consisting of one floor, without prior demolition warning. Activist Mahmoud Tqatqa said the home was demolished suddenly, while occupation forces had previously notified more than 17 homes in the village of demolition. Separately, occupation forces stormed homes and caves belonging to Palestinian Khaleel Younis Abu Aaram in Khirbet al-Halaweh in Masafer Yatta south of Hebron. In east of Ramallah, an occupation army force stormed the Abu Faza cluster east of the town of Taybeh, detaining most of its residents for hours and throwing sound bombs among the homes, terrorizing children. The forces smashed surveillance cameras installed by residents to monitor ongoing settler attacks on the cluster for months. Residents expressed fear that the camera destruction was a prelude to a new settler attack, amid escalating assaults and attempts to impose control over the area through establishing pastoral outposts and displacing its Palestinian residents. The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported that occupation forces and settlers carried out 2,051 attacks against Palestinians, their property, and lands in the West Bank and Jerusalem during September, including 1,404 attacks by occupation forces and 647 by settlers.
