Number 2 in Yisrael Beiteinu accuses Netanyahu: "He is not right-wing and not a Zionist"

Rafi Ben Shitrit, the number 2 in Yisrael Beiteinu, attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an interview, accusing him of "handing over Hebron to Arafat, he is not right-wing and not a Zionist" and that he is "one of the fathers of the concept that brought upon us the October 7 massacre." Ben Shitrit pledged that his party would not sit in a government supported by Arab parties.

Rafi Ben Shitrit, number 2 in the Yisrael Beiteinu faction, was interviewed today (Monday) by Eliraz Sadeh on "Medabrim Hadashot" and sharply attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Ben Shitrit accused Netanyahu of "handing over Hebron to Arafat, he is not right-wing and not a Zionist" and that "he is one of the fathers of the concept that brought upon us the October 7 massacre." He added that the main mission of the government was to protect the security of Israeli citizens and it failed, and called on every voter to ask themselves what they would gain if they voted again for the current parties. When asked whether Netanyahu had changed since the massacre, Ben Shitrit replied that the IDF had achieved exceptional tactical successes but Hamas had not been defeated, and that Lieberman was the most suitable person to head the government. He emphasized that Yisrael Beiteinu would not sit in a government supported by Arab parties, and that the next coalition would consist solely of Zionist parties.
