The State Prosecutor's Office today (Sunday) filed an indictment with the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court against Raz Weinberger, 49, from Ein HaHoresh, for publications on X in which he allegedly called for the murder of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, ministers, coalition Knesset members, and government supporters. The indictment attributes to him 10 counts of incitement to terrorism and 18 counts of incitement to violence. Concurrently, the prosecution requested an order for his detention until the end of legal proceedings against him. According to the indictment, over about a month and a half, against the backdrop of the elections for the 26th Knesset, Weinberger published 21 posts that included calls for violence and murder. Among the publications: a direct call to Netanyahu that "his verdict is death," and a threat against MK Almog Cohen. The prosecution argued that the systematic and repetitive nature of the publications, along with the fact that until recently Weinberger possessed a weapon, indicate his dangerousness.
