Netanyahu pulls out document: "80% of Vinter voters want me"

In an interview on the Patriots program, Netanyahu directly addressed supporters of the Am Yisrael party and claimed that Ofer Vinter would not help form a government under his leadership. He presented data according to which 80% of the party's voters want him as prime minister, and called on them: 'Don't vote for Vinter - vote for me.'

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in an interview on the 'Patriots' program on Channel 14, directly addressed supporters of the Am Yisrael party, led by reserve Major General Ofer Vinter. Netanyahu presented a document which he claims shows that 80% of Vinter's voters want him as prime minister, and called on them not to vote for Vinter. 'Whoever wants me as prime minister, don't vote for Vinter – vote for me,' Netanyahu said. He argued that voting for Vinter does not help form a government under his leadership and could harm the right-wing bloc. Netanyahu attempted to frame the call within the broader context of the campaign against Iran, while mentioning the support of US President Donald Trump. 'There is a historic opportunity here to eliminate this threat. And if we don't get the additional mandate, it could end in tears for generations,' Netanyahu said.
