Netanyahu publishes recording of conversation with Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has published a recording of a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump. In the recording, Netanyahu thanks Trump for his public support ahead of the elections and calls him "the best friend Israel has ever had and will ever have in the White House." Trump responds by stating that he personally drafted the statement of support and calls Netanyahu a "fighter" who will "soon be proven" that he was treated unfairly. The conversation took place on October 18 during Netanyahu's visit to an Air Force base. The article does not disclose which specific words of support from Trump are being referred to, and does not include reactions from other politicians to the publication.
