Liat Sadeh Saadon, mother of Staff Sergeant Itai Saadon who fell in a clash in Gaza in November 2023, published a heartfelt post about the fall of her son's childhood friend, Staff Sergeant (res.) Nadav Kley, who fell in the Gaza Strip last Thursday. The two grew up together in Har Halutz, and their families lived across from each other. Sadeh Saadon shares childhood photos and describes the street where they grew up, the bonfires and ceremonies, and the feeling that life was cut short. "Itai is dead, and now Nadav is dead too," she writes, saying she is digging through childhood photos and cannot grasp the magnitude of the loss. Nadav Kley fell together with Master Sergeant (res.) Ofek Mu'alem in an unusual incident where an IDF drone accidentally exploded. The Chief of Staff established a team to investigate the circumstances of the incident and suspended the use of explosive drones.
