Mercedes driver lost control, mounted the sidewalk – and crashed forcefully into a store

An unusual incident occurred on Saturday at the historic "Braeburn" golf club in the West Newton suburb near Boston, Massachusetts. A white Mercedes crashed forcefully into the club's pro shop after mounting a sidewalk in the parking lot. Security camera footage revealed the moments when the speeding car crashed into the shop wall, just behind two employees who were at the scene. Rescue and fire crews evacuated the driver and two employees to the hospital, all with only minor injuries. The city engineer inspected the building's stability, and the opening was temporarily sealed with wooden boards. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, and initial findings suggest possible human error by the driver in operating the pedals. It should be noted that this is the second unusual incident involving a vehicle on the club grounds in recent years, after an SUV entered the premises in 2021 due to a navigation error.
