The article deals with the "Memory of Jerusalem" project, a vast visual archive documenting Palestine's architectural and social history from the late 19th century to the present day. Jordanian historian Mohammad Hashem Ghosheh collected thousands of historical photographs over years of research and documentation, forming a historical path extending from the Ottoman era, through the British Mandate and Jordanian rule, to the Palestinian resistance and the political and social transformations the country witnessed. The collection includes carefully selected photographs, added to the Anadolu Agency archive to be available to the public and researchers. The collection is shown on the Telegram channel of the "Arab 48" website. Ghosheh won the King Faisal Prize in 2020 in recognition of his intellectual and research work related to Jerusalem, its history and its heritage. Ghosheh links his research project to his personal experience with Jerusalem and displacement, as his family was forced to leave the city in 1954 in the aftermath of the Nakba, which saw the forced displacement of large numbers of Palestinians from their land.
