Martyr and 16 injured in settlers' attack on olive pickers north of the West Bank
A citizen was martyred and 16 others, including a woman, were injured in an attack carried out by settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces on olive pickers from the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus. The Ministry of Health reported the martyrdom of Ali Hassan Yasser al-Bazari (44 years old), and the injury of 9 with varying wounds, including serious ones. Occupation forces also assaulted ambulance crews and detained three paramedics.
A citizen was martyred and 16 others, including a woman, were injured on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, during an attack carried out by settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces on olive pickers from the town of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, in their lands extending between Burqa and the Ramin plain east of Tulkarm. The Ministry of Health reported the martyrdom of citizen Ali Hassan Yasser al-Bazari (44 years old), and the injury of 9 citizens with varying wounds, including a serious injury. Additionally, 7 citizens were injured as a result of an assault by occupation forces beating them in the city of Nablus. Local sources reported that a number of the injured were transferred to the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, and others to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus. They added that occupation forces assaulted ambulance crews near the Burqa plain, detained three paramedics and a volunteer, and seized the keys of ambulance vehicles before releasing them and forcing them to leave. Eyewitnesses reported that a large group of settlers attacked the farmers while they were picking olives, opened fire, beat them, prevented ambulance crews from reaching the injured, and threatened them with gunfire.
