Following the arrest of a yeshiva student: Protests expected tomorrow in Jerusalem and Gush Dan

The Committee for the Salvation of the Torah World announced widespread protests tomorrow in Jerusalem and Gush Dan, following the arrest of yeshiva students and married scholars by the military. The decision was made on the instruction of Rabbi Azriel Auerbach, in protest of the abandonment of learners by the Haredi establishment.

The Committee for the Salvation of the Torah World announced today (Wednesday) its intention to hold massive protests tomorrow at 4:00 PM in Jerusalem and Gush Dan. The decision was made on the explicit instruction of Rabbi Azriel Auerbach, following the arrest of yeshiva students and married scholars in recent days by the military for the crime of studying Torah. The committee is furious about the wave of arrests and calls on the public to come out and protest the severe harm to Torah learners. Rabbi Auerbach sharply criticized those who previously declared they would stand by Torah learners but are now abandoning them, and noted that the protest is also necessary due to the desecration of God's name caused by yeshiva students being thrown into prison without anyone speaking up. Protest organizations are preparing to bring thousands of demonstrators to the streets at central locations in Jerusalem and Gush Dan, in protest of the degradation of the honor of the Torah and its students.
