Yoaz Hendel, chairman of the Reservists and Economic Party, appeared this morning (Tuesday) at the ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth 'People of the State' conference and warned that 'Israel is racing toward another election.' Hendel, who merged ahead of the elections with the party of Prof. Yaron Zelekha, is at high risk of not passing the electoral threshold according to polls. Last week, Hendel called on Ofer Winter, chairman of Amcha Israel, who is also at high risk of remaining outside the Knesset, to retract his commitment to form a government with Benjamin Netanyahu and the Haredi parties, and to lead a joint political move with him. Hendel proposed that the two parties sign an excess vote agreement and declare that they would only sit in a Zionist government, without the Haredi or Arab parties, to create a 'blocking bloc against non-Zionist governments.'
