Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, MK Boaz Bismuth, held a special security discussion today (Monday) ahead of election day and warned that Israel's enemies will try to harm election day and interfere with the results. Bismuth wrote on his X account that the discussion presented the threat map against Israel and warnings across all arenas, including attempts at foreign interference. According to him, "the security establishment is at peak readiness to thwart any attempt to harm public security and the election process." The discussion joins a broader preparedness effort by the security establishment: the police have formulated an operational plan for holding the vote in scenarios of war, rocket fire, and attacks, and a war game was conducted with the participation of the Chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Noam Sohlberg. The police have completed mapping polling stations by risk level, and permanent officers will be stationed at some. The Elections Committee is also preparing for cyber threats, artificial intelligence, and the spread of false information. The article relies primarily on Bismuth's statements without independent security sources.
