Lieberman warned of a dangerous scenario: We must not allow this

Yisrael Beiteinu party leader Avigdor Lieberman warned that the next US administration could recognize a Palestinian state and impose sanctions on Israel, leading to the destruction of the high-tech sector and an arms embargo. He called for preventing this scenario and promised that on October 27 his party would replace the government and establish an emergency headquarters to fight for international support.

Yisrael Beiteinu party leader Avigdor Lieberman issued a warning about a dangerous scenario being formulated for Israel in the US State Department and National Security Council. According to him, the next American administration, whether Republican or Democratic, could recognize a Palestinian state across all of Judea and Samaria, the Jordan Valley, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, as well as impose sanctions on Israel. Lieberman described the consequences of such a decision as catastrophic: the destruction of Israel's high-tech sector and an embargo on the supply of weapons, ammunition, and spare parts. The politician linked this scenario to Israel's loss of international support after the events of October 7 and stated that the current government coalition is incapable of preventing the threat. He promised that on October 27 his party would replace the government and create a joint emergency headquarters for the State of Israel and Jewish communities in the diaspora to fight for public opinion and counter institutional anti-Semitism. As examples of anti-Semitism, Lieberman cited the leader of the French left-wing party "France Unbowed" Jean-Luc Mélenchon and the British Green Party, which, according to him, called Zionism a form of racism.
