Levinson vs. Galia Albin: "Doesn't understand the concept of elections"

Journalist Haim Levinson sharply criticized Galia Albin following her remarks about Likud voters in Dimona and Sderot. Levinson claimed that 90% of the public, including Albin, do not understand the concept of elections in Israel, and presented statistical data from the 2022 elections to refute what he called "the fiction of development towns."

Journalist Haim Levinson launched a sharp attack against businesswoman Galia Albin, following her comments on the podcast "Everything is Open" about conversations she had with residents of Dimona and Sderot regarding their voting patterns for Benjamin Netanyahu. On his podcast "Levinson in the Morning," Levinson claimed that 90% of the public in Israel, including Albin, do not understand the concept of elections. He began by referencing Albin's appearance, scanning her shirt image into the Gemini app, finding it to be an Olivia Finley shirt costing $465. He then moved to an analysis of the left's perception of residents of development towns and the Gaza envelope, presenting data from the 2022 elections: in Sderot there were 15,242 valid votes, of which 6,329 went to Likud; in Ofakim 16,200 votes, of which 5,200 went to Likud. According to him, the political decision lies in the big cities: in Tel Aviv 45,000 people voted for Likud, in Rishon LeZion 45,000, in Netanya 40,000, and in Ashdod 33,000. Levinson presented a sociological view that voting is an expression of identity and not just positions, and that trying to convince traditional residents to vote for parties like Yisrael Beiteinu has no chance.
